IN THE TIME OF OUR FATHER – 2012
In our day and age, we are lucky to know the man, Madiba.
Above all things, he is a father of hearts.
A King of Hearts.
He fought his own prejudice enough years
to reconcile eventually his peace with the warfare
and from that we learned respect for tolerance.
Those moons, alone with time,
and
those years inside a mind of lies
built a stronger man of a spirited boy
whose daydreams had been diffused of colour.
The man returning those dreams to the boy, to the people,
in colour, real,
taught us to believe in personal freedom.
In tomorrow’s yesterdays, his legacy of love will speak of him, for us.
In today’s tomorrows his voice echoes in prayer, song.
In our hearts his message resonates.
His truth is a sensible truth.
His example is honest.
In this day and age we must be grateful for such truth.
His sharing is not simply a gift.
If we notice his methods, listen to his example,
his wisdom can become our legacy.
