The Heart’s Longing – Blog No. 1

Creatrix

Those who have hearts will recognise the familiar deep ache that signifies the alignment between the longing and the longed-for. A heart grown of patient longing for the long-awaited is not a weak heart. It is the heart made stronger than the divide between the two. That strength not only generates an unbreakable bond linking the beginning of the longing and the end of its trajectory, it provides both sides with the power to align at any point with one another – regardless of space or time – and find their way home to belonging.
A heart that longs is naturally a pained heart. It is apt to be so. A self denied is a tortured soul indeed and I suspect that this, for many who soon realise they have rejected their own essence, will in due course become patently clear. Perhaps that is why most people will do anything to distract themselves from the actuality that an age-old longing pre-exists every one of us, and is inherent in each of ourselves. That longing in itself alone is the reason we are actually here and it would be wise for you to try and remember at least that.
The Heart’s Longing is an inspiration, its manifestation a miracle. Implicit trust, the application of absolute faith in the pure heart’s true vision and the willingess to serve its subsequent longing is what finds you the necessary capacity to match the laws of attraction resonating from the beginning of the longed-for’s trajectory.

DNA – Blog No. 21

30DNA Studies should be included in primary school curricula.  Imagine the suspense, waiting for the results of who you are to arrive in class.  Every child should contribute a sample of their own DNA and then study his or her heritage.  Each child must learn just how important what makes us up, is.  When you demonstrate to a child who it really is you will see prejudice disappear like magic.  How can you possibly be racist when you discover that in your life chain you have links made of every texture and colour?  I look at black people and wonder how much black is in me.  I wonder how much white is in them.  Coming from Zimbabwe, I have an inherent blackness, my heart belongs at home in Africa.  But I am white.  I have learned that this happens, and it doesn’t matter.  It is how you feel inside that is of consequence.  Until we appreciate properly the resonance of association with others, it seems we will not be able to see beyond the pale.

I think DNA should be on everyone’s minds.  Yours, that of your friends, your family.  For even you and your brother, your sister, are not the same though you share the same DNA.  Its existence is miraculous.  DNA tells our life stories.  All of them.  It tells us of the lives of those that came before we did.  It is a living history.  A certain truth.  I think we learn experience before we live it.  I think it is through watching our parents tackle life that we understand how to be.  This is both a good thing, and a bad thing.  It depends on your role model.  Being that we all play roles in this life, it is vital to realise that you may be someone’s role model.  If you have or had no parents to watch, I think you will adopt the ways of those role models most invasively in your space.  If you feel a love as a child, that is invasive.  If you feel a hatred as a child, that is invasive.  Do not make the mistake of thinking that invasive applies only to a violence.  A child’s space is invaded by many things, much of the time, until it is six.  A child’s retention – its ability to learn – during this time is mind-blowing.  I don’t think respect is a given when it comes to modelling yourself on another.  We emulate others because we respect them, of course.  We also emulate others because they seem to have a power that perhaps we feel we do not have.  We copy what works for them in the hopes that it will work for us, too.  This mimicking is not often a waste of energy, but it is not overly productive.  When something is done 33 times, it becomes a habit.  The same act must be not done 33 times in order to turn this habit around.  Be yourself for 33 days in a row.  No holds barred.  It’s a real challenge.  Imagine spending the next month being completely honest and speaking your mind.  What a relief?  You might be surprised.  Truth is one of those things that a lot of people are not bothering to hear.  They are not deaf, these people, they have just mastered the art of selective hearing.  To penetrate their particular stony silence we need to have something very relevant to say.  Ignorance understands relevance, if nothing else.  I think in a world as self-obsessed as this one we need to prove to people that they are relevant.  We can start by showing them who they are.

Love = Love – Blog No. 5

happybuddha11Some will say that love is not enough.  Perhaps it’s not.  Perhaps gratitude and respect are necessary, too.  But what is love without respect or gratitude?  Is it even real?  If love (in its entirety) is not enough then we are chasing an illusion of unity.  If God is love – which he purportedly is – then would he mind if we changed his name to Love?  God = Love, therefore Love = Love.  And love does beget love.  Do you think ours is the type of God who would mind having his image upgraded?  I don’t think he is.  I think he’d appreciate a facelift.   What is his name – just ‘God’?  There must be more to him than that.  I wonder – why weren’t we told more than we were about who our God is?  Everyone got sidetracked with Jesus.  I believe we have evolved enough as a people to ask who this God was who said.    Because in the bible, he just said.  He said, and things happened.  How did he do that?  I wonder if Jesus was not a magician.  How to tell the world their saviour works magic?  It’s not easy.  They came up with the bible as metaphor, as explanation.  Miracles and magic – what is the difference, essentially?  Maybe the Jews were afraid of Jesus’ tendency to perform ‘miracles’ and wanted his ability to confound the senses censored, or silenced?  It’s all in the supposition.  Maybe there are reasons for their seriously savage treatment of Jesus.  Maybe.  I am not sure – if the bible is anything to go by – whether they didn’t go slightly overboard.  He was one man.  He caused a lot of panic and a lot of hatred.  It’s interesting.

Maybe God has gone deaf.  He is old, it’s possible.  If he is deaf, then how do we get him to hear our prayers for a better world?  We speak to him in different ways.  If we must learn new ways, he must learn new ways.  How else can we all go forward?  I think his whole image needs a make-over.  The Christian God, that is.  I think Buddha is happy with his status and his scope.  I am sure Shiva is doing what she always did.  Etc.

If we can learn to speak with our hearts instead of defaulting to our heads every time, things could change.  When trusted, the heart speaks truth through your actions.  The heart speaks truth usually when there’s no time to do anything else but trust it.  That is pure motivation.  That is measured risk – which is not the same as gambling.  That means you can move with chaos, and know your way forward.   Trust your heart in the rush of your every day.  It knows you best.
