Let’s clarify something about Love – Blog No. 7

Batmobile

I think there is some confusion when it comes to the term:  in Love.  For instance, you can have a deep Love for your family members but it is not appropriate to be ‘in Love’ with them.  That then bends Love’s trajectory towards incestuous and incest is not fine no matter what planet you are on.  The point is, though, it is not okay to hide that kind of shit if it exists and is an issue.  The point is to treat the cause of the problem, not the symptoms.  Ask why a father would impregnate his daughter, why he would find her sexually attractive in the first place?  Why would a possessive mother seduce her son?  I mean that sort of sexual attraction is alarming to me and it really does need addressing.  Basically – incest kills true intimacy.  It breaks sacred bonds.  That confuses children and it causes inexplicable pain that dominoes down the generations.  Therefore – incest is not acceptable and that is not a negotiable point if the healthy concept of family is to survive its deconstruction.

If you are the parents of a child, or children, it makes sense to remember that you chose each other with whom to ‘breed’, as such.  Surely you choose to have a baby with someone you are in Love with?  If you didn’t, then I question why you are parents.  Children are not a ‘by-product’ of sex – make sure you get that straight.  They are a choice.  If you do not make the choice, then do not have kids.  It’s simple, really.  Children who watch their mothers and fathers hate each other for a living learn nothing about Love, about choices.  They learn hate and blame, about bondage and obligation.  They are also torn, often, between taking sides with their mother or their father and that is not the sort of choice a child should ever have to make.  I suspect that there are a great many bullies in relationships – male and female – who enjoy the convenience of a resident punch-bag, as such.  That may be how things are for a lot of people, but it is important to understand that that kind of ‘relationship’ is not of Love – not in ANY shape or form.

In Love.  Again – it may be helpful to understand that ‘in Love’ is not a destination.  It is a privilege:  the beginning of a journey into the heart of what really matters.  Love is not a commodity, despite what some humans might think.  What some humans think matters not, however, and Love knows that.  It is when Love falls in Love that it is liable to lose its own control.  Maybe that is no bad thing.  Perhaps ‘out of control’ Love is exactly what this wounded planet needs?

Please – Blog No. 15

Before you swear at the next refugee, or spit on the shadows of heartbroken immigrants, or victimise displaced persons – consider this:

There will come a time when you – yourselves – might require asylum.  When that time comes you will understand how it feels to be at the mercy of a system you are unable to control.  It is a frightening feeling, having something other than yourself decide your fate – based on what it thinks it knows of your situation.  Systems are systems for a reason.  People are human for a reason.  Letting a system decide your fate is not what humans do.  Or at least – they shouldn’t.  You decide your own fate – and in doing so, you can change the fates of many people who currently cannot make that choice for themselves.

WakeTheFuckUp

The next time you find it wisest to sit on the side-lines and watch human atrocities atrophying the human mind, remember that that paralysis is ultimately going to be yours.  Each boat-load of hopeless humans is a weight around our collective necks.  Every exile, ourselves.  Please.  Let’s find solutions.  Enough children have died for causes that were never theirs’ to fight.  More than enough.  It is time that adults began seeing eye to eye and teaching their children that in this world – there are alternatives to war.

Longevity – Blog No. 52

longevity

What can be considered a fair life-expectancy? Or should we not have expectations when it comes to our deaths? There are those for whom life without expectations is as pointless as death is without its permanence. There are those for whom it isn’t.

Keep yourself the way you need to be kept and you will live for a long time. Deny yourself your necessary and you will die what is commonly called ‘before your time’. Living, laughing and loving are excellent for longevity. Practice them. They are free. If you cannot find anything to laugh about, anything to love, or any reason to live, you need to think again. It’s that simple.

There are a lot of people who are hoping to live forever. They must have a reason for that. There are a lot of medicines that keep dead people walking and perhaps that is called progress in some countries. It would appear that the many children walking the planet today would appreciate a planet to walk on. Their longevity is dependent on the planet we give them to appreciate.

Youth – Blog No. 36

youth

It is not easy being young.  Ever.  It is harder today, however, than ever before.  The primary reason for this is an innate awareness that the planet we are on is in a critical state.  There is a pervading sense of doom hovering over the long-term future of the humans on Earth, i.e. the youth understand that because of the way this world currently chooses to work, there won’t be any humans in the future.  It is challenging finding the motivation to repair a damaged world when you have the knowledge that you are speeding towards your own extinction, because people prioritise living their lives – having their ‘moment’ – and that takes time and focus away from fixing the problems they can fix.  It is important to live life and fix it as you go.

Perhaps the biggest challenge facing today’s youth is the choice of what to do with their lives.  There is the ever-pressing concern about earning enough to be able to live the life you are promised in every advert, every magazine.  Without money, we are taught, what are we?  This fact of reality discourages people from daring to follow their hearts and occupy their lives with what they love to do.  Because a person in this society needs to earn to live a reasonable life, a ‘safe’ life, people are choosing careers that will make them rich and safe, rather than fulfilled and pushing at their highest potential.  One is fulfilled when one does work with its own intrinsic value and gets paid to do so.  One pushes at one’s highest potential when one is challenged in one’s field of expertise.  I am sure more of the youth need to be shown that the careers that currently exist are not the only careers there can ever be.  The youth must create their own career options.  They can do that by each developing their unique strengths and dreaming of a healed world.

I would hazard a guess that the youth of 2014 are not impressed with the state of the planet.  Whatever they are not told by the media, whatever propaganda is shoved in their faces, whichever lies they grow up with, they know the truth of the matter.  They feel the planet’s plight.  Their childhoods are short and from day one, they are generally bent to conforming to a deformed social ideal.  Therein lies the problem that if resolved effectively, will change the entire outlook for this planet’s future.

The Circus – 4

Circus Hero-1

Tonight the flaming hoops story is new. The tigers have rewritten the script.
The vampires can feel something is up. They swarm to the ticket office.
The tent has a maximum capacity.
This is one show no one is keen to miss.
No one will miss it. It will be pirated and sold on.
That is always the way. They will make the copy worthwhile.
This night, yesss, this one, there will be blood.
A great deal of blood.
The ringmaster just doesn’t know it yet.
The lions have yet to weigh in.
They have thus far remained silent, detached.
That is the luxury of a lion’s say-so in today’s world.
Watch out for what the lions discuss when no one is watching.
They have evolved from circus freaks into machines bred for the bullet.
How advanced is Natural technology? They are under no illusions.
They will always be King of the Jungle.
Go and ask Mowgli. He will tell you what is what.

The vampires bring their progeny to a show such as this.
It is worth the corruption of their young souls.
To see the wild win for a change will lift morale.
The children will bay like wolves. It is their instinct.
The dogs will not perform well if their slot is after that of the cats.
The baying of wolves will unsettle their senses.
For the first time, they will feel divided. It makes sense to divide a pack.
It confuses the master.
The Master. The vampires snigger into their sleeves.
Now that was funny.
What would excite the patrons was the blood-trade spectacle.
It would bring the animals’ eyes alive. It would be best if the hoops were afire.
That would add atmosphere.
If the ringmaster left the gate ajar, that would add atmosphere.
Once he was dead, beheaded, what stood between the angry cats and man?
Vampires in human form die human deaths. That was the dare.
It was their choice to visit the circus on a wild Friday night.
At moonrise it will become clear who sleeps, who wakes.
The tigers have made sure of that.

The fact that the ringmaster came back disappoints many of the circus performers.
Their sentence seemed shorter the other way, when the circus ran itself.
Not to worry. After the cats come the clowns.
They would make everyone smile. It was their job.
They were paid to clown around, so they must clown.
They had better bring the house down.
If they failed, they would be fired. A simple understanding between puppets and master.
Master. The clowns grumble his status into cupped palms that they fling wide, sideways.
They throw out the name with determination. A curse to be rid of.
Send it out. Out. OUT. There is no space in the tent for curses.
The animals can hear their dense man-whispers. The hiss of spit hitting dry hands.
Circus people were superstitious with good reason. Be careful what you summon.
The curses must stay outside.
They are on the naughty step until they learn the first aspect of values.
The gypsy sits outside in her painted caravan. It rests on the backs of two pitch horses.
The red looks good against their black.
She reads for people. Whoever, whatever. She follows the circus and she speaks out.
‘Cross my palm with gold,’ is what she wants to say, with a wink.
She says deadpan, ‘Five bucks, fifty.’
It is not just the wild animals whose eyes have died.

Domination – Blog No. 16

Mc_DominationDomination is an interesting game to play.  We have all spent time trying to dominate – situations, people, opinions.  The need to be dominant is a throw-back to our wild.  Males and females both do it.  Children try it on all the time.  Domination is not wholly an unhealthy pursuit, it just depends how far you will go to be the dominator.  Take Russia for example, they are busy playing dangerous domination games.  They will dominate in Crimea, despite the rising tide of negative public opinion with regards this particular pursuit of power.  It would seem that they imagine themselves invincible.  Their view is irresponsible, provocative, and it does not sit easy with the global community.  Perhaps Russia should give some thought to the fact that they are currently disturbing the balance on our planet.  This has consequences.  I do not believe that Russia has the right to decide that Crimea needs to be a part of its make-up.  Crimea belongs to the Crimeans, not the Russians.  In fact, it is peculiarly obnoxious for Russia to be stretching its borders to include land that does not belong under Russia’s thumb.  It would seem that Vladimir Putin forgets that invasions did not work well for Hitler in the long run.  His big ideas are small-minded.  Outdated.  In actuality – backward.  In fact it has to be asked – who exactly does Russia think it is?  It cannot convince anyone that its objectives are honourable, no matter how earnest its self-righteous claims.

Domination is a key factor in relationships.  Traditionally, women have learned and played the submissive role.  Men have been the dominators.  Of course there are many exceptions to this rule, but conditioning has seen to it that men stand head and shoulders above women when it comes to being ‘in charge’.  It is refreshing to see the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, making inroads in a male-dominated industry.  Politics is an industry, as much as capitalism is an industry.  It is encouraging to watch Hilary Clinton at work in her fields of expertise – the adherence to the ways of women bodes well for the future of global diplomacy.  There are good reasons why women are usually better at diplomacy than men are.  Theirs’ is a learned patience, an inherent understanding of how the world and its people work.

Sex is about domination.  Base instinct sees males mounting females in Nature, although it should be remembered that mating in Nature is most often consensual.  A male will seldom mount a female unless she has given him the go-ahead.  With humans, it is not always this way.  There seems to be a subliminal need for humans to demonstrate their prowess – their core ‘power’ – by being the person ‘on top’.  Both men and women subscribe to this theory of sexuality and both use their wiles and their ways to make their statement of fact.  Be aware that rape is about domination.  Slavery is about domination.  Domestic violence is about domination, as is child abuse.  Think about it.  Domination needs careful management.  Ungoverned, it creates problems, pain, wars.

Enslavement – Blog No. 13

slaveryThere is no morality in slavery.  You cannot expect to enslave another human being without finding yourself in due course on the über-cruel receiving end of slavery, yourself.  That there are those who are enslaved in the 21st century should not surprise anybody.  There are still those that believe that theirs’ is the right to control the life of another sentient being.  Theirs’ is not the right – it is never the right thing to do – and this should matter to every person on this planet.  It does not matter to a whole contingent of people inhabiting planet Earth and this fact would be laughable – because of the reciprosity of karma – if only the subject of slavery was not as distasteful as it is.

I do not doubt that every nation has been guilty at some stage of slavery in one shape or another.  Whether it is the money-enslaved masses of the west and the would-be west, the trafficked girls from the east, the labouring children in factories and mines, the militant child soldiers from Africa or the political puppets that run this world, it should be recognised that this form of oppression is ongoing and it is unacceptable.  People need to be free.

Enslavement is wrong.  Simply wrong.  There is no justification for it, whatsoever.  It is not for one person or organisation to ‘own’ another’s life and direct their passage, their path.  If you are a president, for instance, you should (want to) be able to act according to your own will in the best interests of your people.  The people put you where you are for a good reason.  Authority figures should not be coerced into action or non-action by their peers, their governing bodies.  A presidential slave is a problem of the highest order because a spearhead is put in place to lead the way through confrontation, conflict and resolution.  Should a spearhead be blunted by indecision and external influence, it loses its efficacy immediately.  Mr Mandela was a spearhead, he was never a slave to his circumstance or anyone else’s.  His example should really have changed the ways of this entire planet by now.

Home – Blog No. 90

sexyappleThe drive to go home is a strong pull.  Every one of us has a sense of ‘home’.  We will spend our entire lives travelling there.  It is the wild in you that will direct you to your beginnings.  That is why it is important to acknowledge your wild.  You will take its direction.  It is worth realising that ‘home’ for you is not necessarily ‘home’ for your partner, or others in your immediate family.  You can all be travelling, simultaneously, to different places.  Home is a resting place.  You will feel this, it is a knowing.  You know when you get there, when you leave.  The place in which you live is not necessarily your ‘home’.  It depends on how fully you inhabit it.

Home is where your heart is.  Your heart is where your truth is.  Where you send your head is where you end up.  Every time.  Home is a sanctuary.  Establish early where your ‘home’ is and map the maze that life builds for you around it.  Home will be at core.  Source.  Like a salmon can find its way miles back upstream to its beginnings, you can find your way back home should you need to.  Time and again.  For some, ‘home’ is that safe place they have in their heads – where there are sunny beaches, rainbows, fluffy bunnies.  For others, ‘home’ is their union with another person.  It is quite possible to have a relationship deep enough that it takes you both ‘home’.  I suppose in an ideal world that level of devotion would be evident in every relationship.

Home replenishes the soul.  The starving soul.  And at times every single person on this planet has a starving soul.  When you hunger for ‘home’, that is when you know.  It is visceral.  A calling.  And it grows larger the longer you ignore it.  In fact, your longing for ‘home’ is metastatic.  It starts in your heart, then it begins to overwhelm your reason for being and it conquers your conditioning, the will of the system.  You become acutely aware of its impatience gnawing at your insides – at the edges of your mind – and at some point, you must obey its call.  It is advisable to explain your call to ‘home’ when it comes, before you act on it.  Partners can feel abandoned if you should disappear for a time, on a mission to take yourself ‘home’.  Children will miss you whilst you are gone.  But partners will get over being left, and children will be happy to be reunited with you when you return, refreshed.  Going ‘home’ is cyclical.  Roll with it.

Fatness – Blog No. 87

supersizemekidsjpgI think how you look at fatness depends on how fat you are, how fat you have been.  I don’t think it matters one bit whether you are fat or not.  Who cares?  What worries me is fat people who refuse to admit that in order to have a fit, strong body you need to put in some serious work.  Hot bodies do not get the way they are by accident.  And there are such things as bodies that are hot, and bodies that are not.  Our society has made this fact big business.  It is a problem for some people to accept that ‘hot’ exists.  It is real.  Men and women respond to it, alike.  I think it is essential to give credit where credit is due and to me it is hats off to every single person who eats with care and conditions their body.  Simple.  That is discipline.  If you should choose not to spend any hours exercising, then that is your lifestyle choice.  You are entitled to live any way you wish, but you must be happy with the you that your type of living produces.  Some people have no desire to be active, or to be thin.  I salute these people – the ones who don’t give a shit about their size because they do not equate a ‘better’ self with a thinner self.  Theirs’ is a confidence, a kind of freedom that is to be admired – particularly in our über air-brushed world.  I salute, too, the people who are addicted to endorphins.  An exercise addiction in this world is not the worst addiction to have.

It is really important to understand that obesity is bad for you.  If you can, stay on the smaller side of obese.  It is one step too far.  Unless you have a death-wish, in which case your health will not matter to you and you will carry on until you die.  If you are addicted to food and you want to stop eating, you need treatment for your addiction like any addict needs treatment for their addiction.  Please see this.  Addiction is treatable.  Perhaps, too, you need some unconditional love to fill the hole in your soul that you are stuffing with food.  That particular hole can eat.  A lot of people eat to escape how they feel.   Others eat because the pleasure makes them feel temporarily alive.  People eat to pass the time, too.  Eating and boredom are good friends.  If you are one of the people who is in love with the delights of eating – and passionate about everything food and cooking – then you will not want to stay away from it and you should not.  Celebrate your passion:  drown yourself in sensation.

Please do not make children obese.  That is child abuse.  It has nothing to do with aesthetics – it is just not fair.  Your issues should not be theirs’.   Know that comfort-eating is a habit, learned.  It can be unlearned.  If you should believe that showing love means feeding your children until they burst, then take a long objective look at any over-large child’s achievements in a competitive playground.  If you do not care whether your child achieves anything in life, then that is a problem.  Realise that as the parent of an obese child, you are misguided.  You have a dysfunctional relationship with food.  Please give your children a chance in their world.  Like it or not, their world is body-conscious.  Give your child self-esteem, encourage fitness, wellness.  Don’t relegate a child to a place where it is first in line to be ridiculed.  Remember, kids are cruel.

The Circus: Part Three – Blog No. 78

BQcDAAAAAwoDanBnAAAABC5vdXQKFlN0Y2pqUDVtNEJHbVA5VVFzWXlWV3cAAAACaWQKAXgAAAAEc2l6ZQ

For children The Circus has a special matinee performance.
At noon. This is when the cowboys come out.
All real circuses have cowboys.
They ride side-saddle, backwards. Standing.
Their horses do not overly mind the small galloping circle.
Three generations of performers born in captivity.
So they did not forget. They never knew.
Sometimes the horses would love to buck off the cowboy, ruin his show.
They are cheeky like that. They know their power.
Their breeding.
The horses are glad for their blinkers. They keep the noise of people out.
The horses know their moves. They cruise through their routine.
The cowboys tip-toe up and down their spines spinning lasso.
The horses laugh at the prancing men and dream of saving the tigers.

The girls in gold glitter g-strings get everyone’s attention.
The bored men straighten their backs for a better view.
Look.
Black feathers, corsets, suspenders. Heels.
Red lips.
Tits everywhere. Bonus.
Jesus. Those matching backsides.
Where is the wife looking? Not at me. Nor are the kids.
Heaven.
The one on the far right is hot, hot, hot.
Nice thighs.
Very, very nice. She would look good bent over the bonnet.
Oh no. Boner.
It’s been three weeks. And that is some faceful of lady.
Nod, for fuck’s sake. She is watching you watching.
What? A Coke? Now?
Yessss. Escape.

The trapeze artists watch from the wings the goings-on in the audience.
Theirs’ is the show that comes on after the glamour-girls finish.
It is as popular. Flying people are compelling.
The opening contortionists that unwind themselves from the shadows at the top of the tent
are not called ‘aerial silk’ for nothing.
Their display is a tale: red/orange/yellow/green/blue/indigo/violet
and people read the way they ride ribbons in their sequinned spirals, stretches, spins,
telling the story of The Circus’ evolution.
The trapeze artists have an opening act. Theirs’ is the evolution.
In fact, trapeze artists can smile these days.
Circus politics have begun to change in their favour.
Respect is now being given where it is due.
Theirs’ has become a kind of autonomy in the ranks.
Even the ringmaster stops what he does to watch them fly.
They enjoy their daredevil status. It is years’ worth of work.
As before, they brought their skill to the table, the trapeze artists. Nothing more.
Nothing more was needed.
