The notion of supremacy – Blog No. 9

supremacy

It is not a simple task to isolate the vowels in the word supremacy.  In other words – it is not plain ABC sailing to locate the source of the scourge that introduced the notion of supremacy to certain people in certain places, positions.  However, where it started is not what we shall become obsessed with, how to stamp it out is going to be our present obsession.  I suspect that the fictitious statement that there was – or is – a ‘chosen race’ in the first place has contributed hugely to the problem of inequality that exists in our today world.  The other issue is that it would appear that a great many of the apparently ‘unchosen’ tripped into the trap of believing that they were either inferior, or less ‘desirable’ to God that those he allegedly selected as his representatives.  This is good news, because all it takes to eradicate the shadow of supremacy is to shine Life’s light on how ridiculous the notion is and then teach people to stop believing that God – or whatever – ever chose one type over another.  He didn’t.

It would seem that supremacists have chronic self-esteem issues.  If you need to believe that you are better – or more entitled to privilege – than the human being next to you in order to get through the day, then your life is a waste of everyone’s time.  There is no point in entertaining a waste of time.  We are all skilled in different ways, there are none ‘more capable’ than others.  It is a fundamental failure – a primal lie – to imagine that what one man can do, another cannot.  And I mean that from both sides.  Those who have grown up believing that they are lesser than others need to reassess their thinking, change their mindset.  This is not always easy, given the proclivity of the supremacists for bullying and intimidating those who have been ‘taught’ that their contributions to our world are of no value.  Those who spend time and energy attempting to subvert others also need to change their mindset – and quickly – otherwise it will be changed for them.  I would suggest changing voluntarily.  It is not wise to push an issue until you have your mode of thinking altered for you.

Supremacists have held on to their ‘power’ by demeaning other people and their kin.  They are motivated by fear of difference, a fundamental lack of understanding bequeathed them by their forebears.  For instance, in South Africa, a great many homes that take advantage of the services domestic workers offer will not allow their domestic staff to use their crockery or cutlery or drink from their glasses.  They will provide a meal for their staff, usually, but this meal is often food that the families themselves would not choose to eat, i.e. it is the cheap shit from the supermarket.  This blatant ‘racism’ if you like (racists are notorious supremacists) is unacceptable.  Domestic staff should be invited to eat from what is in the fridge, or in the cupboards, i.e. they should be given a choice.  It is not acceptable to have the attitude that your domestic staff should be grateful to even get a meal.  Considering that these workers maintain homes and gardens and both babysit and in many instances raise these families’ children, they should be treated with respect and shown some common decency.  Shifting this paradigm is naturally going to be a challenge, but it is possible.  A few million ignorant people need a wake-up call, is all.  How many times have you heard it said:  treat others as you want be treated?  What is so difficult about that?  Treat people equally, irrespective of their gender, colour, culture, or sexual persuasion.  That is one of the first guidelines in our brave new world and it is one about which I am passionate.  Passion and persistence go hand in hand and we would all do well to embrace our passions and use them to bolster our brave new world.

One plus one equals three – Blog No. 46

21.12.2015

One plus one equals three, i.e.  1 + 1 = 3.  If you want it to make 5 you are on the wrong planet.  For that you must go to one of your other dimensions.  If you have got no other dimensions to go to, then yours’ is an uncertain future.  Mine, on the other hand, isn’t.  I suspect that is because I am under no illusions.  Neither is God.  He plays a winning hand when it comes to his own construct, which was – incidentally – a very long game of strip poker.  He has been waiting for the perfect moment to show that hand – not because he is concealing anything, but because God only works in perfect timing.  That is not because he is being unfair, or picky, it is because he knows that it is not only vital to have the right words in hand to say, it is vital to know when to say them.

It is important to know that when the weight of the world becomes the fine line between puppet and master, God tends to get particularly fussy about accurate timing.

Divine intervention – Blog No. 18

1276667564750

I look at divine in the context of ‘like a god’.  Not ‘as a god’.  I believe that when you divine a need – your need, for example – you are not guessing what is necessary, you are intuiting a solution.  When you are divining your outcome – your future, for example – you are guessing.  That is not necessary.  Your future is not in your hands.  Technically, your future you do not need.  You may want it, but you do not need it.  Your immediate needs are more pressing.  I would attend them.

Divine is in aspect, magical.  When you consider that the word ‘god’ is what we have chosen to assume is associated with ‘divinity’ you will perhaps understand that the word is in dire need of redefining.  As is the word ‘lawlessness’.  I have said that before today.  Scientists snigger up their sleeves at magic.  They have to – if they accepted its actuality it would probably disassociate their focus.  That is as well.  We all have our ways.  Our means to the end.  The scientists find the explanations.  That is lucky for us.

Divination is a tricky business.  You should not get into it unless you are prepared to learn from it your real truth.  Like you should not open your mouth unless you know what you are talking about.  That is a simple lesson to learn.  Like the lesson that dreams are personal.  Divination is never inference.  Ever.  It is wisdom.  It is a medium through which myriad spirits speak.  If you cannot – or will not – hear the delivery of centuries’  wisdom, that is unfortunate.

I suspect your death, then, was a blessing in disguise.

Tears – Blog No. 6

rain

Any religious practice or philosophy that discredits the power, the potency, indeed the necessity of tears, is one that makes me not only suspicious, but downright skeptical. When your religion teaches you that tears are a weakness, an indulgence – or even an attention-seeking activity – your need to question the integrity of that religion intensifies exponentially. If you are so highly spiritually evolved that you find no value in the physical expression of sadness then I would have to say your years of spiritual training leave me disappointed and more than a little distressed that there are so few people with a true understanding of pure compassion.

It does not matter who you are – your job on this planet is to raise mankind to the heights they are capable of achieving. NOT simply glorifying yourself and leaving the rest of mankind to ‘save themselves’. If you attain your nirvana, your zenith, you are obliged – in order to demonstrate gratitude for your attainment – to use every piece of knowledge, wisdom and awareness that you have gained in your life to assist others. If you do not – will not – do that, then you have failed at life, by and large, no matter what rung of the ladder you think you are on. The ‘elevation’ of oneself is essential in part, naturally, but the bigger picture is the ‘lifting up’ of every single person, too. And everyone means everyone. This means judgementalism serves no purpose other than indicating your own particular frailties as a human being and your selfish determination to be part of an ‘elite’ group that stands head and shoulders above the multitude of others. That is not acceptable.

We would not have evolved to 2015 with tear ducts and emotions as intense as they are for many people if they did not serve an urgent purpose. If you cannot cry – you cannot claim to feel authentically the plight of this planet and that in itself is cause for my greatest concern. We need to share the sad load. Where do you think the daily agonies and sufferings of the millions of animals – and people – go? Into some giant incinerator somewhere in the sky? They don’t. That pain is a living energy – a force in motion – and for those who think tears are a waste of time, think again. You are not wise if you relegate to ‘another’ that pain by avoidance or the conviction that tears are pointless if you truly understand ‘God’. They are not. That tends towards self-righteousness and self-righteousness is dangerous – inadvisable – for any person wishing a life of consequence.

Tears are an instant stress-release.  That is a good thing.  An essential in the restoration of balance. They are proof, too, that there are a few people on this planet who do care enough for the wonder of ALL life to cry for the demise of every sentient being. And that – in itself – is a wonderful thing.  A reason for hope.

Reformation – Blog No. 30

reformation-day-serviceIt would seem that the Church has been reforming itself – at the request of the people – since before the 16th century.  People have been skeptical about the Church for a very long time.  We are now in the 21st century and it would seem that it is time again for the Church to reform itself.  I can understand that any long-standing tradition will have difficulty in accepting that a shake-up is necessary.  Too bad – it is.  The point that the Church needs to understand is that people are not the same as they were.  You cannot apply an ancient set of rules (which were perfectly feasible, perhaps, at their time) to the now generations.  Abortion is not guaranteed to send you to whichever hell you think is real.  Neither is sex.  If you abort children because you are too lazy to use contraception, that is a different story.  That is why contraception exists.  Parenting is not something everyone is good at doing, and it is not something that everyone should do.

Reformation is always for the better.  Always.  To reform old ideas is exciting – especially with the evidence the sciences work very hard to produce for this ‘seeing is believing’ world.  Modifying your ideas is not supposed to be humiliating.  Everyone believes something wholeheartedly at some point in their lives.  Grace comes into play when you admit (however grudgingly) that there are facts you didn’t have before – that you now have –  that change the way you think about things and the way you look at things.  It is said that you will only see what your mind can conceive of.  That is very true.  That is why a reformation is necessary.  It is better to procure the facts and feed them to the people so they can make informed choices.  It is possible that because of what the Church is protecting it cannot change its mind on certain core issues.  That is to be expected.  However, the Church has a huge responsibility because it has a huge following.  A lot of people devoted – totally devoted – to God are praying every day for salvation.  I hope the Church can save them all.

You can reform your life any time you need to.  With – or without – the Church.  If you should want reform, that is up to you.  Want and need are relative in this context.  A reform is no defeat.  A concession, perhaps.  It is not a failing.  It is an admission that things could be better than they are, that the way you are working isn’t working.  That admission is where you begin to see the reason you need to change your thinking.  It is fairly easy to understand that if you cannot change your thinking – things cannot get better.

Faith – Blog No. 9

faithThe bottom line is that it does not matter what you have faith in, as long as you do have faith in something.  Perhaps in these fractured times the only thing you feel comfortable having faith in, is yourself.  If that is the case, know that that is enough.  When you believe in what you can do – in your individual capacity, and as part of a collective – you harness a power that will surprise you with where it can take you, and others.  Should you wish to believe in a power higher than yourself (which is all relative, for what you find in yourself is what has existed for centuries in all of the gods, God, Allah, Dreamtime, Nature, etc, feel justified in doing so.  You are a reflection of what you find admirable in your chosen deity/deities.)  You can believe in more than one deity, if you so choose.  All the ‘good’ characteristics that you try to adopt, emulate, exist inside of you already so it matters not which ‘good’ you ultimately choose to follow, it is all the same thing, really.  That should be a comforting thought.

Faith means dedication.  It means understanding and application.  Simply believing in something and trusting its say-so is not enough, you need to do something with your faith.  Make it work for you.  That is what it is for.  Faith is not there to subjugate you, to cripple your progress, so if what you choose to believe in makes you lesser rather than greater as a human being, then perhaps you need to shuffle your belief systems a little, or change your faith.

Faith is a symbol of hope.  It keeps you striving for better, going forwards.  Faith should have no boundaries, no restrictions.  Nor should a person’s faith receive criticism or judgement from another person.  You should be able to open wide to the understanding that placing your implicit trust in something is not a weakness.  It is a strength.  For one reason or another, humans go far further in life when they believe they are supported somehow, by something, in this world.  Perhaps what you believe in is not ‘of’ this world, technically, but faith means you know it is out there and it makes a difference to your everyday, the knowing.  Faith has extraordinary power, and this power – when properly directed – can change an entire existence.

Religion – Blog No. 5

religionThe intolerance with which different religions regard each other is not productive.  No one god is sitting on a plinth higher than any other.  There is space for every kind of religion, every type of belief in this world, providing that it can stand to reason.  Religious people should not feel afraid if their religion battles to answer probing questions about itself, its origin.  What matters about religion, is faith.  Goodwill.  If your religion does not actively encourage goodwill towards others – all the time – then I question its purpose, its validity.

Religion is not supposed to be a profitable business.  The fact that the Catholic church is worth billions – that they sit on – should bother everyone on this planet.  The fact that evangelists worldwide are selling God every Sunday should cause an uproar.  God is being pimped.  He is casually bent to fit whatever shape best suits the wants of his followers and since he is not around to protest vocally at any misrepresentation that might be underway, his ‘work’ is done all over the world by fanatics and extremists, amongst others.

Would this world implode if its people were to discover that God was a construct?  Or would it be mature enough to handle the reality?  And Satan?  What about him?  What if God and Satan are in fact, one?  Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde?  Remember that to see the light, you need darkness.  Has God faced his darkness, his demons?  I wonder.  Perhaps that is why we go around and around and around.  Perhaps God is avoiding the subject of his failings and we all wait until he accepts his nemesis.  In anycase, God and Satan are what people have made them into.  We can only bear witness.

Burning – Blog No. 92

"Toro Jubilo" (Joy of the Bull) festival in the Medieval village of Medinaceli, in the province of Soria, north east of Madrid. As far as hellfire goes, I would not lose too much sleep over the thought that your ‘sins’ in life are going to have landed you in a pit of fire for eternity.  That isn’t what happens.  In anycase, when you are dead, you do not feel.  You could sit in a cauldron of boiling water all day.  Your burning happens while you are living.  That is what conscience is.  That is also what dumb public opinion is.  A branding.  Should it be negative opinion that follows your happenings – and your management of those happenings – you will feel the burn.  That burn is what you learn from.  It is not often easy to be thankful to those who cause you to burn in this life, in fact it is most often the desire of those under fire to do some serious damage to the person or institution doing the burning.  However.  There is always the charitable process of instant forgiveness via the grace of God – if that way is for you.  Or – you tolerate the burn and try to understand what is causing the friction in your days.

If you should find that it is you that is causing friction for yourself because you are being an arsehole in life – and again, both men and women qualify as arseholes – then you must accept the burn.  You allocate to yourself your suffering.  You will burn until you are made humble enough to realise that the way you think and the way you behave towards others does matter.  You will burn until you adjust your attitude to include the understanding that everything you do in life is measured.  Every single thing.  If you are feeling friction because external prejudice is criticising you or your choices, you need to distance yourself from the idiots who practice that prejudice.  Burning because you are gay, for instance, is unacceptable.  Burning because you dare to follow your heart?  That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in my life.  Who dares persecute a person who decides to follow what might appear to the masses to be an ‘unconventional’ path in their pursuit of purpose?  Convention, as a norm, is a load of shit – and tradition is not much better.  They both confine dreams, thinking.  Tradition and convention are constructs.  Reconstruct them.

There are those who enjoy burning.  And there are those who enjoy being on fire.  Leave them be.  It depends what you have been trying to achieve with your life as to how close you will have ventured to the flames and how long you will have exposed yourself to their heat.  Fire is transformative, no matter how you look at it.  The hotter your spot – and we all know what hot means – the more corrective your karma.  That is such a simple concept to understand.  Let karma play out the way it must.  It has your best interests at heart.

And keep in mind that for a phoenix, fire is necessary for rebirth.  For rising.  In the same way the burn caused by your conscience is necessary.  If you have no conscience, know that you are going nowhere.

Productivity – Blog No. 82

productivity_analysts_sjpg1330When are you most productive?  When you are doing something you like, or when a whip is at your back.  Both methods work.  For some, deadlines motivate.  The chase to the end, motivates.  For others, the push is in an obligation, a feeling of being responsible.  Why is it that some people feel the need to do something about the state of this planet and others will not be bothered?  It is time to kick these sleeping people out of their beds.  I am tired of hearing the old story that it is no one’s job to bring the humans along, kicking and screaming.  That it is no one’s job to force them to wake up and take stock of where they are so they can decide where they want to be.  Who made up that story?  The same people who sit on the sidelines and watch this world implode?  Too bad for the silent fence-sitters.  The story has changed.

You are productive when you are driven, inspired.  If you lack inspiration, what can you do?  You can search for new experiences.  If you are averse to new experiences you must ask yourself why.  What is this need to live a traditional life?  Why are there not more pioneers?  Life is a construct.  Construct a model that works.  Why are there inflexible missionaries striding around making noise about choices?  Just because another’s choice is not yours, you cannot condemn it.  Do not hide behind God and shout about what is not right in his eyes when you have no idea what he likes and what he doesn’t.  When last did he pass comment on the way humans behave?  Does he even care?  The problem is that people are still whispering the same Hail Mary the priests were prescribing last century.  It works no better now than it did then.

Be productive in your thinking.  There is no point dreaming up doom and gloom for yourself.  Take your thoughts and modify them to include new possibilities that will improve your life.  Know that a productive life is a life well-lived.  However you choose to live well, is up to you.

Contraception – Blog No. 54

Contraception-WTAThis world is over-populated.  Use contraception in any shape or form.  That is the first fact to get into your head.  The second, is that birthing more than two children in this day and age is not just irresponsible, it is selfish.  How many times must you duplicate yourself in this world?  It is immaterial how much money you have.  If you love children enough to want ten, then adopt for god’s sake.  Do you know how many children do not have families on this planet?  What can they learn of Earth?  Theirs’ will be an emptiness within that will be very hard to fill.  If you cannot cope with the idea of adopting – and some people do not want to bring up another’s progeny – that is fine, but do not flood the world with your seed.  Men must update their thinking – more is not more.  Less is more for 2013 and beyond.  If you cannot conceive, you do not rush to the hospital for IVF treatment.  You wait and you see what Nature has in store for you.  Why force her hand, time and again?  Who do you think you are, demanding of her with your impatience?  Do you not think she – of all – knows best?  Do you not think she is measuring your bodies for success?  Of course she is.  She is waiting for the perfect time.  Each time you conceive unnaturally you are missing that window.  Her pace is that of patience, as a guide in life you cannot hope to find better.  If you want a child more than anything in the world, then you know as well as the next person that any child will do for you the same job.  That is important to understand.

Children love unconditionally for a very long time.  Their capacity for forgiveness – if that is even what it is to them – is humbling to see as a human being.  It is sad to think about how many times an abused child will try to make sense of what ‘love’ is.  They will forgive time and again without question, in pursuit of love.  That is what a child is born expecting to be shown.  Love.  Remember – if they are damaged children, they will have to be taught what love is.  You cannot expect a child who has been kicked around or fostered in five abusive families to function normally.  That would be insane.  That is why social services in every country in the world needs more money to do the job they are trying to do.  We need to take the problem out before it happens.  Also, you cannot move a child every five minutes and hope they will be well-adjusted to function in society at the end of it all.  You are affecting their sense of identity when you change their environment.  Appreciate that if you move a child from school to school, and/or house to house, you are forcing them to rely on change as a constant.  This can be a risky business.  If you pile the witnessing of domestic abuse on top of that and/or substance abuse, you are showing the child that violence is acceptable and/or that addiction is a potential path to follow.  Addiction to anything is not recommended, food included.  A lot of people are addicted to food and refuse to admit it.  That is no different to many alcoholics sitting at the AA.  Whether their ‘Twelve Steps’ is what to take from their ministering I can’t say, but I have heard that following God up the steps is required.  That all makes sense if you believe there is a God.  There are a lot of alcoholics who do not think there is a God.  This reality should be taken into consideration.

The church should really swallow its contraception and abortion arguments.  It is time.  If it cannot swallow its pride on this and give real ground as well as ideological ground as an institution then it is failing its followers.  It is choice that humans seek, not strict governance by a set of backward rules.  The Catholics in particular can reshuffle their policies, their celibacy laws have bred abuse and paedophilia and their issue with contraception is going to lose them followers faster than the revelation of their true wealth.  The Catholics must be called upon to explain why they have so much of this planet’s land under their belts.  They need to free up space, they need to sell on and move out.  The poor need houses.  The church can sell their properties and pay for the housing.  That is what any charitable institute would do.  And a humble religion – which all religions aspire to be, surely – will have a humble portfolio.  I think the Catholics need to show their willingness to really help the people change the state of their planet.  How else can they redeem themselves?  Alms, are alms.
