Keep life in perspective – Blog No. 45

perspective

Finding reasons to treasure your life is one of the best ways to ensure that you are capable of keeping it in perspective.  When perspective spins out – which it can do from time to time – it is fair warning that your treasury is nearing empty.  No matter who you are, an emptying treasury is not a good sign.  The way to manage a deficit – when you become aware of it – is to deal with it, for starters.  That means looking first at the problem, and then solving it.  There are times when an awareness of this nature is valuable, even though it can be painful.  It is a stark reminder of what an epic task it is to fill our treasuries in the first place.

Life was created to be lived.  It can be a beautiful experience, but you have to be open to it.  Open means open.  It does not mean 80:20.  It does not mean 50:50.  It does not mean 180°.  It means a full circle, 360°.  In other words, it requires total acceptance from you, the liver of it, the giver of it.  If you cannot find it in yourself to accept the life you have chosen for yourself to live – and a very important distinction to be made here is that YOU have all chosen your lives, i.e. you are neither random happenings and nor are your projected experiences – then you are not only betraying your pure self, you are contributing to the façade behind which a truer humankind once thrived.   The understanding of that particular point is an important lesson in accountability.

Keeping life in perspective means keeping yourself in perspective, too.  That can also be tricky, given that most people have no clue who they are or what they want to be.  However, that is not the biggest problem and can be overcome with some self-discipline and a bit of forethought, hindsight and intuition that you can trust.  If you cannot trust your own intuition, find someone whose intuition you can rely upon.  You cannot go through life being entirely mistrustful, it is important at times to take people at their word, whatever the consequences.  When you believe that a person will honour their word, they will often be more inclined to do so.  Of course you can learn about being too trusting and you can learn about extortion and racketeering, but those kinds of things you need only learn once.  Once – in that context – is enough.

Kings and Queens – Blog No. 9

Love

Whether or not they realise it, the Kings and Queens of this world are on the front line.  That is simply how it is.  Kings certainly do not desert their men in battle and Queens are quite capable of managing their domains from the front, too.  That means they do not desert their men, either.  In an ideal situation all the men of the Kings would unite with all the men of the Queens and together they would not only be a more effective line of defence, they would perhaps see in one another’s eyes that their objective is ultimately one and the same, i.e. it is a common one.

Kings and Queens – in the traditional manner – are elevated to their status because they have the wherewithal to handle the weight of such a title.  Being a King or a Queen is not part of being in a fairytale.  It is a very serious business.  The Kings and Queens that turn up thinking their job is a picnic are soon deposed.  That is called Natural selection.  A King is denoted by his honour, his word.  A Queen is denoted by her honour in combat and her determination.  In this, they have equal power.

In the royal enclave there are such things as Kingcesses.  Those who can identify upon sight a Kingcess are fortunate.  He who catches a Kingcess is a lucky man – it is like finding an angel flying on solid ground.  That – like being struck by lightning – is not a common occurrence.  In fact, it happens only once in two blue moons.

Good news – Blog No. 8

goodThe good news is that the world of humans is not changing too fast for Nature to evolve alongside it.  Nature is way ahead of the humans.  The humans are merely speeding up the rate of extinction on this planet – their own, included.  For Nature – that is very good news.  As soon as the humans are gone, this world will be at peace with itself.  It will exist without labelling, without cruelty, without greed, without division, without hatred.  Nature will go back to its vast drawing board, as it always does, and in due course it will come up with something even more spectacular than human beings.  It is a pity that there will be no humans left to appreciate the display.  But humans do not appreciate what they have already and theirs’ is the destructive ignorance.  The stupidity.  That there will be no back-slapping on Earth in the coming ages is perhaps something to look forward to.  The humans have always been too busy claiming accolades that are not theirs’ to claim and undoubtedly should Nature deliver another round of ‘miracles’ or ‘universal magic’ or whatever you want to call it, if they were around, the humans would somehow imagine themselves responsible for the majestic feat.  They are that arrogant.

Humans are incidental.  They are dispensable.  All of them.  They are not necessary for the survival of this planet.  What is valuable about a human being, interesting, is its intelligence – preferably when it is being used.  Intelligence does not die.  It lives on, in itself.  It has its very own ecosystem, if you like.  Intelligence transcends death, its reach is beyond the grave.  Like a great many other things that are going to start causing problems for the humans on this planet.  Know that it is possible to be intelligent without an education, but an education does help a great many people access their intelligence.

The good news is that about 5% of the population of this planet can save the environment with their cash.  They could extend the planet’s longevity this way, greatly improve their standing.  They have no standing simply because of their wealth, understand that.  It is what you do with your money when you have it that speaks for who you are, and who you are – in this world – is what is measured.  These people have to want to use their money to benefit something or someone other than themselves, though, and sadly not many of them seem to want to do that.  They are short-sighted.  Selfish.  They exist in a colossal vacuum, which is ultimately to their huge detriment.  Did no one hear that the only honourable pursuit for a thinking person is the lifting of mankind from the gutter?  Raise mankind above man.  There is nothing honourable about sitting in an ivory tower watching mankind flailing around on the ground like a fish out of water.

Blog No. 3

alice-character-new-era-59fifty-fitted_1I think Alice is still wandering around Wonderland. I don’t think she ever resurfaced. When faced with the choice of returning to this world as it is, she said, ‘No thanks very much, I think I’ll pass.’ She’s busy in an Underworld we see only in our dreams.

I wonder why there is no global body that can say ‘no’ to unacceptable happenings. Why is there not a resounding universal ‘no’ when it comes to rhino poaching, for instance? Why don’t governments stand for what is right these days? I think people need to remove political correctness from their agendas. This world needs a shake up. Syria needs peace. Gaza – is Gaza. People need to stop squabbling over land and let go of fighting for the honour of their past ‘heroes’. Who says anything ‘belongs’ to anyone in the first place? Like the way man will rape Nature’s resources and disrespect her convention. Or make rules for outer space. Space etiquette is more important than behaving like a reasonable human being on terra firma. I wonder some days just who we think we are on this planet.

I trust people with experience. I love learning, and being taught. I think we are all learning, all the time. It is a constant. As is change. To resist change is not brave. Change is what keeps the flow in this world, going. The richest languages are those evolving all the time, those in a state of flux. The same applies to people.
