Convenience – Blog No. 5

ConvenienceRoadSign

In my personal experience, life is not convenient.  Neither is it a convenience.  It is a gift, given.  That is not to say that it always feels like a present, because it doesn’t.  However.  Convenience tends to save time and that is why it is useful.  Convenience is not to be confused with instant gratification, convenience is about making things easier to manage – or handle.  It is not about making things immediately available to a planet consumed by its own inability to curb its inclination to take an arm when offered a hand.  For instance, it is convenient to know that those you can trust are trustworthy.  It is a convenience having an aptitude for diversity, too, particularly when you discover that you have been labelled the ‘Corner Store’.

Change is consistent, constant.  It is not convenient – of that you can rest assured.  Change causes a great many people a great deal of angst – pain, even.  That is unfortunate.  Change is not to be feared unless you are becoming a mutant or changing into a pillar of salt, for example, in which case you were probably not supposed to turn around.  Change is inspiring in a life well-lived.  It brings new perspectives, new world views and new ways of solving persistent issues mired in the denial that has become routine daily life.  It is a privilege, though, to discover through ceaseless change how adaptable we are, how resilient our natures, and that is what makes it possible for us to transcend any reality we are handed – no matter how forcefully we are encouraged to ‘receive’ it.

A convenience store should stock everything that people usually forget to buy at other shops.  Those ‘last-minute’ items none of us can do without.  Like padkos, you know.  Food for the trip.  Or a beach towel, say.  You never know when you might be visiting the beach.  Should a convenience store sell beers?  I would say yes, definitely, but I suspect it depends on where the convenience store is situated.  A convenience store selling illicit beers in the UAE, for instance, would be liable for a hefty fine.

Keep life in perspective – Blog No. 45

perspective

Finding reasons to treasure your life is one of the best ways to ensure that you are capable of keeping it in perspective.  When perspective spins out – which it can do from time to time – it is fair warning that your treasury is nearing empty.  No matter who you are, an emptying treasury is not a good sign.  The way to manage a deficit – when you become aware of it – is to deal with it, for starters.  That means looking first at the problem, and then solving it.  There are times when an awareness of this nature is valuable, even though it can be painful.  It is a stark reminder of what an epic task it is to fill our treasuries in the first place.

Life was created to be lived.  It can be a beautiful experience, but you have to be open to it.  Open means open.  It does not mean 80:20.  It does not mean 50:50.  It does not mean 180°.  It means a full circle, 360°.  In other words, it requires total acceptance from you, the liver of it, the giver of it.  If you cannot find it in yourself to accept the life you have chosen for yourself to live – and a very important distinction to be made here is that YOU have all chosen your lives, i.e. you are neither random happenings and nor are your projected experiences – then you are not only betraying your pure self, you are contributing to the façade behind which a truer humankind once thrived.   The understanding of that particular point is an important lesson in accountability.

Keeping life in perspective means keeping yourself in perspective, too.  That can also be tricky, given that most people have no clue who they are or what they want to be.  However, that is not the biggest problem and can be overcome with some self-discipline and a bit of forethought, hindsight and intuition that you can trust.  If you cannot trust your own intuition, find someone whose intuition you can rely upon.  You cannot go through life being entirely mistrustful, it is important at times to take people at their word, whatever the consequences.  When you believe that a person will honour their word, they will often be more inclined to do so.  Of course you can learn about being too trusting and you can learn about extortion and racketeering, but those kinds of things you need only learn once.  Once – in that context – is enough.

Scales – Blog No. 20

Chromatic scale

If you need to scale down what is happening on this planet at this exact time – in order to get it into better perspective – then I would suggest you watch a clip of the moon landing in 1969.  It would not hurt either to take a look at the footage of Apollo 13’s return.  These things – amongst others – tell the story of what is possible when you believe in what seems to be impossible or you dare to dream that impossible dream.  Either way, when it comes down to what counts in your life you will find out that what is seen as impossible, is not.

Another way to measure the actuality of happenings is to fill your scales of justice with everything you have.  All your positives to the right and all your negatives to the left.  You need not sort through them.  No matter where you think they belong – on whichever side – neither will end up in the wrong place.  They know where to go when balance is called for.  When your scales are hanging heavier on one side – on, say, the left – at the nanosecond during which your exact balance is captured, you will not be required to explain any discrepancy that is evident.  Your measure tells your truth and the nature of the future you inherit will depend on that evidence.

Fish have scales.  As do dragons.  It is best to remove the scales from either creature before eating it.

Travel – Blog No. 91

Gridlock Pink flat wrap to web © ella doran_0Travel humbles you.  Please – if you have any spare money at all, use it to travel.  It gives you a sense of your space on this planet.  Send your children travelling – as a first priority.  Before studying.  Travel is the wisest investment.  All at once when you are travelling you are vulnerable, intuitive, open to suggestion.  Obliged to trust – and act on – your instincts.  That means watching, taking into consideration other people and their actions for the entire duration of your journey.  You are not more open than when you travel.

Please – one thing I do not understand.  Why do so many European women think it is acceptable to suntan topless in the likes of Egypt, Tunisia, etc?  The quiet men go insane.  They are not used to tits in their faces unless they are married.  If you want to get your tits out, then find a beach suitable for your predilection.  Get a clue.  There is no shortage of these beaches – or saunas – on the European continent – in fact, there is no shortage of these beaches or saunas anywhere in this world when you are a person who loves to spend time with your clothes off.  Find what you want.  The right place.  Do not inflict yourself on someone else.  Go for nudity if you want it, but know there is a place for your exhibitionism.  Find where you are celebrated for your choices and stay there.

Understand that travelling is a privilege.  A huge privilege.  It expands your perception unlike anything else on this planet.  New places, new people.  Yes – if you are in doubt –  do it.  Give yourself the gift of perspective.  Travel and see how distant your ‘real’ world is …

Depth – Blog No. 84

Escher_DepthThe depth of your perception dictates your life experience.  If you exercise your perception – shift your focus – from time to time, it does your opinions good.  Perspective and perception are not the same.  Perspective affects perception.  Changing your perspective – your standpoint – is an effective way of exercising your perception.  Do it often.  The depth of your perception is directly proportional to the depth of your understanding of life.  Spend time understanding life.  It welcomes your curiosity.

You have a depth to your character.  You have a depth to your feelings.  You have depths of despair.  All this is familiar news to anyone with the ability to focus inwards.  Focussing inwards allows you to see deep into your meaning.  It is important to know what you mean in this life.  Your life is not some random event.  Do not forget this.

Think of living as being the ocean.  There are swells, waves, Bermuda Triangles.  Creatures.  The deep.  You can choose to go in, or not.  Should you be standing at the edge, about to take the plunge into turbulent waters, know that there could be death lurking.  There could be.  A lot depends on how well you swim.  If you cannot swim, you should learn.

Come Together – Blog No. 52

In-bed-togetherThe days are done where you can exist solely for yourself, your immediate family.  Your family is a cell in the bloodstream of life on Earth.  You are not a unit exclusive to yourselves.  Not any longer.  You are a part of the collective.  Your thoughts contribute to the wellbeing – or detriment – of this planet.  We need to align our thinking.  The power of thought can change a destiny.  Let’s change Earth’s destiny.  As it stands, her future is looking pretty bleak.  Like it or not, this planet is full of very selfish, very greedy and very corrupt people and they are trashing the balance in society.  We need to weed these people out and get rid of them.  They are a cancer.  Corruption cannot be tolerated on any level, in any organisation.  You cannot work well with people you cannot trust and corrupt people cannot be trusted.  Ever.  Once a soul is corrupted it is a different creature.  It becomes interesting.  You have to watch its behaviour, it becomes changeable.  You cannot let your guard down when it comes to soul, the vastness of the darkness we all carry within is reason enough to be vigilant against opening willy-nilly to the creature.  You must address darkness with some reverence, it holds all your secrets – clues to your future.  You must regulate your opening, your closing.  Like breathing.  In.  Out.  I do not believe that leaving yourself open to darkness all day and all night is helpful.  You need perspective in order to manage its ministrations.  If you cannot get perspective then you must step outside yourself for a while.  Free your mind.  Think of the silence of space as the silence of mind.  Imagine your soul as the universe.  You are everything there is.  That means you carry within you the power to manifest as your dream.  Your dream will only be the beginning.

The end of days is nothing to be afraid of.  When you realise just how inter-connected we all are you will understand that on one level we all face this event horizon.  We are together.  The best way to transcend the ‘end’ is to converge.  To become one.  We all have a current running through us, we are electricity and we are light.  Forget for a moment that you are flesh.  Separate the concepts of mind and body.  Concentrate on the fact that you are capable of telekinesis.  You are born with that facility – you must just learn to use it.  That takes effort.  If you can be bothered to be a proper human being you are capable of producing masterpieces with your lives.  Masterpieces.  You must know that touching a person means tapping into another energy field.  Be careful whose energy you choose to connect with.  Be selective in your associations.  Avoid arseholes – be they male or female.  We have no time for arsehole-energy in our thinking field.  We need to focus on a better world.  We can all benefit from this vision.  And remember – any improvement is an improvement.

We work together, we become a force that cannot be stopped.  It is important to know which page we are on.  We cannot align our thinking if we are all on different pages.  The worry there is that we become zombies if we all follow the same prescription.  I do not think a zombie-world is what we need.  We do not all want to be thinking the same, independent thinking is recommended.  But we need a framework upon which to hitch our ideas.  As a collective.  We can all come up with productive thoughts to pin to the board – that is not hard in this upside-down world.  There are a lot of things to be improved on this planet – one of the first of which is the children who scour rubbish dumps for a living.  I cannot accept that as a childhood.

The way to ensure that you avoid further conditioning is to follow your curiosity wherever it takes you.  Important – curiosity is not malicious.  It will not lead you to shoot up a school just to see what doing that feels like – that carnage is the work of a bent mind.  A bent mind is a dangerous mind.   It should be said – there are too many mentally ill people roaming this planet.  These people are not thinking right, and wrong thinking is turning our reality into a freak show.  Worse still, these people are bringing up children who are dreaming a future into being.

If you have no curiosity about anything – that is your problem in life.
